My name is Ulrike Fischer and I live in Germany. I have been using LaTeX for more than 30 years for all sorts of documents. For more than 25 years I have been active in various TeX-related usenet groups, mailing lists and web boards. You can find me e.g. at tex.stackexchange.com.
I'm a member of the LaTeX-Team and involved or responsible beside other for hyperref, the LaTeX PDF management, xcolor and various modules for the Tagged PDF Project.
I'm a co-author of the 3. edition of the LaTeX Companion.
I'm the author of some packages (tagpdf, returntogrid, xskak, chessboard, chessfss, citeall, combofont).
I have published various articles for the German TeX-group Dante, e.g. in 2008 an introduction to XeLaTeX and in 2014 an article about biblatex variations which has been translated for TUGboat. I also write regularly for TUGboat, the publication from the TeX Users Group (TUG), beside other about accessible documents, XMP-metadata, spot colors and Bangla. I had some talks at meetings of Dante, e.g. about biblatex, how to correct errors and expl3, and about the tagging of PDF-files . 2019 I gave a talk at GuIT about accessible PDF files, and also wrote an article, which was reprinted 2020 in TUGboat.
Currently I use mostly TeXLive 2025 or a current MiKTeX on win11. I also have TeXLive 2012 to TeXlive 2024 and a ConTeXt Standalone for testing purposes. As editor I use mostly Winedt 11 but I have also other editors installed.
